It's a pretty glorious time to be an FC Barcelona supporter isn't it? The Blaugrana are playing perhaps their best football since 2011, challenging for a historic second-ever treble and as if that isn't enough, we're fortunate enough to see this sensational team take to the field every three or four days. Of course, difficult stretches of fixtures like this can prove to be problematic in terms of injuries, suspensions and fatigue, but the momentum they generate is incredible and at the moment, FC Barcelona seem to be unstoppable.
They are running away with the La Liga title, although even the slightest misstep could prove costly with Real Madrid maintaining the gap at just two points with a superior head-to-head record.
Ergo, Los Blancos will be hoping that their city rivals Getafe CF can do them a favour tonight and hold the Blaugrana to a draw for the second time this season, or even go one better and grab an unlikely victory at the Camp Nou. At the moment, one could be forgiven for laughing off such an absurd possibility, but Getafe do have previous, particularly if the squad gets a little complacent.
Remember that humiliating Copa del Rey exit a few years back? Of course you do -- and that came around as a direct result of our players thinking the job was already done and that their mere presence would be enough to secure the result they wanted. Let's make sure we don't make that same mistake again tonight.
