Sergi Roberto says Barcelona will be under more pressure this season because of their defeats to Liverpool and Valencia at the end of the last campaign.
Barcelona had looked on course for the treble, but threw away a 3-0 lead in the Champions League against the Reds and were beaten 2-1 in the Copa del Rey final.
Roberto reckons those defeats will have an impact on the club going forwards.
“We start the season with more pressure than last year because of everything that happened at the end of last season, but I also think we’ve gone up a level. The signings we have made so far have increased the level of the squad.”

There will be expectations on Barcelona to show they have learned from last season’s painful defeats. There will also be scrutiny on new signings Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong to show what they can do in their first seasons with the Spanish champions.
