Portugal vs Wales: Euro 2016: Live Open Thread & How to Watch Online

And then there were four. Only four teams are left fighting for the 2016 Euro title. In today's semi-final Portugal will take on Euro debutantes Wales, who became the first debutante to reach the semis since Sweden in 1992. Wales and Portugal have never met in a competitive match, but they have faced each other three times, with Portugal winning twice.

Portugal haven't managed a single 90-minute win at the Euro so far, drawing all the group matches, beating Croatia in extra time and edging Poland in a penalty shootout. Wales have had a much more successful campaign, winning four matches, including a masterful comeback against Belgium in the previous round. Wales have only lost one game at the Euro, a last minute heart-breaker to England.

Despite largely failing to impress, Portugal are coming into the game in good shape and with a good chance of marking a surprise final appearance. They have no injuries to report, but they will miss William Carvalho through a suspension. Wales also have no health problems, but yellow card suspensions will see them miss Ben Davies and Aaron Ramsey, the latter of which will surely be sorely missed. But even without Ramsey Wales have the talent and, perhaps more importantly, the team spirit to brush aside an unimpressive Portugal side.

There's also the obligatory mention of Cristiano Ronaldo vs Gareth Bale, so there's that...

Who do you think will win? What can we expect? Share below and enjoy the game.
