FC Barcelona News: 10 July 2016: Messi Campaign Backfires, Adriano Linked With Lazio

FC Barcelona has set up a campaign in support of Leo Messi following the sentence issued this week against the Argentinian and his father. Using the hashtag #WeAreAllLeoMessi while posting a photo or message with both hands open, the campaign is encouraging all Barça fans to express their sympathy for the greatest footballer in the world by voicing their unconditional support on social networks.
It would be one thing for Barcelona to say that they accept the court's ruling and Messi was wrong, but it does not define him and they still support him. People make mistakes and tax fraud may be a crime, but it doesn't necessarily mean that Messi is a bad person. Barcelona can very well support him. But they've done more than just express support.
A Spanish judge on Friday dropped a fraud and corruption case against Brazilian superstar Neymar and his father in relation to the player's 2013 transfer to Barcelona. However, the judge said that irregularities in the high-profile transfer were detected, but it was an issue for a civil court, not a criminal court to settle.
Marca confirm Barcelona defender Adriano will complete a €1.8m transfer to Lazio within days. The left-back remains one of their targets despite the sudden change of Coach from Marcelo Bielsa to Simone Inzaghi. According to the Spanish paper, Adriano is seeing out his last few days at Camp Nou.
Euro 2016 comes to an end on Sunday when Portugal and France play for the title in Paris. After Ter Stegen’s Germany exited the competition in the semi-finals, Barça’s representation came to an end. Piqué, Busquets, Alba, Iniesta, Rakitic, Turan, Vermaelen and Ter Stegen were all playing for their countries in France, but sadly none of them will be bringing home a winner’s medal. Here we take a look back at how they and their teams performed at the summer’s showpiece event:
Manchester City have been linked with a move for Barcelona stopper Claudio Bravo. Mundo Deportivo report that the Blues could sign the Chilean, who worked with goalkeeping coach Xabier Mancisidor at Real Sociedad. Joe Hart has had to deal with speculation linking the club with a move for a new goalkeeper since it emerged that Pep Guardiola was to take over from Manuel Pellegrini.
