Gareth Bale and Co. face a talented Swiss side to kick off Saturday’s action
Day 2 of the European Championships kicks off with the second game of Group A, and after Italy’s dominant win over Turkey on Friday it is time for Wales and Switzerland to look for a strong start to the tournament.
Both teams come into this one with aspirations of advancing to the knockout stages in what promises to be a wide-open group, and both have their hopes on left-footed Premier League stars who may not dominate at the club level but are hugely important for their nations.
Wales will count on Gareth Bale, who hasn’t been the same for a long time but has always performed for his country, and he has the backing of players such as Aaron Ramsey and Daniel James who can help create chances for Bale. The Swiss have Xherdan Shaqiri, who barely features for Liverpool but never disappoints for his country, and he also has some talent around him with the likes of Granit Xhaka in midfield.
This should be a very good start to the first three-game Saturday of Euro 2020, and the individual star who shines the brightest could be the difference in what promises to be a highly competitive game.
