A swap deal with Francisco Trincao has been rumored

Adama Traore has been chatting about his former club Barcelona and has talked up the possibility of returning to the Camp Nou at some point in the future from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 25-year-old left Barca in 2015 and initially moved to Aston Villa. He then headed to Middlesbrough before switching to Wolves in 2018.

There have been a few whispers over the years that Barca could try and bring Traore back, and the winger has hinted he could well be tempted to return to the Catalan giants.

“Barcelona is my home. I grew up there, and was there for 10 years. I have to discuss things with my agents, and see what role Barça needs for a return.”

And no sooner had Traore uttered those words than a fresh article appeared in Diario Sport speculating that Barca could be willing to do a swap with Wolves that would see Traore come to the Camp Nou and Francisco Trincao move the other way.

Trincao’s future is a little uncertain after a tough first season at Barcelona and there had been rumors Wolves are one of several clubs potentially interested in taking the youngster on loan.

It’s not clear if Traore is really a target for Barcelona, although it’s worth pointing out that president Joan Laporta did promise “there will be three or four more signings” this weekend.
