The youngsters could leave the Camp Nou this summer
Barcelona duo Riqui Puig and Carles Alena are both reportedly wanted by new boss Robert Moreno at Granada this summer.
Granada have already been in touch with the Catalan giants to ask about the possibility of Alena signing on loan and also want Puig as well, according to Sport.
Negotiations with Alena, who spent part of last season with Getafe, are said to be “advanced” with the midfielder willing to leave the Camp Nou.
Barca would have to sell renew Alena’s contract, which expires next summer, if he does move on loan but would prefer a sale to raise funds.
Puig’s situation is a little more difficult. The midfielder wants to stay and try to force his way into Ronald Koeman’s plans and has a big decision to make about his future.
The youngster struggled for appearances last season and there’s no guarantee he will be able to convince Koeman that he deserves more game time.
Puig turns 22 in August and may be thinking he can’t afford to spend another season on the sidelines. The report adds a meeting is set for next week to finally decide his future.
