The Atletico boss has discussed his rivals
Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has offered his thoughts on the title race after seeing his side drop points again on Saturday against 10-man Getafe.
The draw means Barca can cut the gap to four points if they beat bottom side Huesca at the Camp Nou on Monday and move back into second place above Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane’s side also remain in contention after coming from behind to beat Elche on Saturday, and Simeone does not expect either of his team’s rivals to drop points between now and the end of the campaign.
“We know that Real Madrid and Barcelona aren’t going to lose until the end of the season. The nerves aren’t going away and we just have to get on with it.
“It’s normal. We’ve been top for almost the whole season. There are still 11 games left to go.
“People were saying Barcelona were bad and look what they did in Paris. They have a new president and excitement is growing.
“Real Madrid always take points from their games. We have our job at hand as we continue down our path. We have two monsters below us that want to be where we are.”

Barca are currently on a 16-match unbeaten run in La Liga but it’s unrealistic to think they won’t drop points in their remaining 12 games. The Catalan giants must still play Real Madrid and Atletico and also face tricky trips to Real Sociedad and Athletic.
