The two players are making good progress
Barcelona duo Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto are closing in on a return to action after more time on the sidelines due to injury.
The two players will not be available for Sunday’s trip to Real Sociedad but it looks as if that’s the last game they will sit out and they will be back after the international break.
Mundo Deportivo report that both Pique and Roberto should be back to full fitness before the game against Real Valladolid on April 5 which will be a boost with some key games to come.
Pique was forced back onto the sidelines after injuring a knee in the Copa del Rey semi-final win over Sevilla. The defender was only just back from three months out with a knee injury.
Roberto was also injured straight after making his comeback. The versatile star suffered a recurrence of a thigh problem in the Copa del Rey win over Granada in February.
The return of the duo will boost Ronald Koeman’s options in defense ahead of some crucial fixtures in April. Barca play the Copa del Rey final and also travel to Real Madrid in La Liga.
