FC Barcelona will make an attempt to bring Emerson Royal from Real Betis, according to new rumors.
Emerson was bought from Atlético Mineiro with Betis and Barcelona paying half each. He has never played for the Catalans, but he has been consistently linked with a permanent move to Barcelona.
It’s understood that Barça will have to pay €9 million to Betis to secure the services of the right-back.
Joan Laporta toma posse hoje como presidente do Barcelona. Logo começará a planejar o time para a próxima temporada, mas uma conversa já foi adiantada: querem que E.Royal venha para o clube na próxima temporada.

If Emerson was sold to another club, Betis would get 50% of the fee and so would Barcelona. That could also motivate Barcelona to sign him, as they would be able to get 100% of the fee from a future sale if they bought Emerson out from Betis.
With Sergiño Dest establishing himself as the team’s first choice right-back, the question would be whether Sergi Roberto remains in the team, converted as a midfielder, or whether the La Masia product would find a new team.
