The Barcelona star has been out since November
Ansu Fati’s recovery from knee surgery is once again in the spotlight with conflicting reports flying about regarding the 18-year-old.
Catalunya Radio is reporting Fati’s injury “has stalled for a second time” and the meniscus suture is not healing well.
It’s now a possibility that Fati may have to go under the knife yet again, and a decision is expected to be made “in the coming days.”
However, Cope’s Victor Navarro has Tweeted that he understands the report is not true.
“Medical sources close to the recovery of Ansu Fati tell Cope that he is NOT going to undergo surgery for the third time because there was NOT EVEN a second operation
“They explain that ‘Ansu is fine’ and assure that the rumors of the operating room are ‘a lie’.”
It’s difficult to know who to believe at the moment but let’s hope Ansu is fine and perhaps we should simply leave him alone to recover fully in his own time.
The news follows another update earlier today that Philippe Coutinho’s recovery from knee surgery has also become complicated and has required a further surgical intervention.
