The goalkeeper is looking forward to the last 10 games
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is currently on international duty with Germany and took part in a Q&A with fans on Twitter this week.
The Germany international was asked a whole range of questions, including what he thought about Barcelona’s title chances ahead of the run-in.
Here’s what he had to say:
“Now there’s 3 important matches with Germany, 3 games we want to win. After this period, there are 10 La Liga matches - there are many games to go and put pressure on the others. And the Copa final. We are 100% motivated for all these matches.”
Ter Stegen was also asked about Barcelona’s last three matches which have brought big wins against Huesca and Real Sociedad and a Champions League draw with Paris Saint-Germain. The goalkeeper said they were “good collective performances where we can still improve. In April we go again.”
The Barcelona goalkeeper also said he was happy to see Sevilla goalkeeper Bono score at the weekend. The stopper netted an injury-time equalizer against Real Valladolid, although Ter Stegen played down his chances of getting on the scoresheet for Barca.
“I’m happy for him! Dmitrović at Eibar also scored this season. My job is defending the goal, but if it’s necessary and I would need to be up the pitch it would be a nice thing to do.”
Ter Stegen’s Germany face World Cup qualifiers against Iceland, Romania, and North Macedonia over the international break, although it’s likely the Barca stopper will be on the bench for all three games with Manuel Neuer still first choice.
