Relations between the two clubs seem to have hit a low
Jean Michael Seri’s agent has reportedly claimed that Paris Saint-Germain have enquired about signing the Nice midfielder “to try and screw Barca over”.
Barcelona had been heavily linked with the Ivory Coast star and a deal appeared close, until reports yesterday claimed the Blaugrana had backed out of the move.
Seri himself has admitted he is unsure where his future lies amid interest from Barca, and his agent Franklin Mala has now spoken out about the saga.
"PSG called Nice three days ago to try and screw Barça over," he said according to Sport.
Mala was also asked about reports that Barca had changed their mind about Seri due to a “technical decision” but said he had no idea what that could be
"No one said anything to me [about that] because they already knew his qualities," he added.
"It was possible to reach an agreement, Barça and Nice were negotiating yesterday [Tuesday] and they were in France."
Barcelona and PSG have tangled with each other all summer long, with Barca’s failed pursuit of Marco Verratti, followed by the French side activating Neymar’s release clause.
The Blaugrana have also subsequently confirmed they plan to sue Neymar over the move which was met with a response from PSG claiming they were “surprised” by their stance.
