Another embarrassing incident for the club
Barcelona’s transfer woes continued last night after the club’s Twitter account was hacked and messages announcing the arrival of Angel Di Maria from PSG appeared.
It’s been a difficult summer for the Blaugrana, with Neymar leaving and Di Maria just one of several players linked with replacing the Brazilian.
And overnight, the following message appeared on Barcelona’s Twitter accounts: "Welcome Angel Di Maria to FC Barcelona! #DiMariaFCB"

Barcelona subsequently confirmed the message was a hack as they sought to regain control of their social media accounts.

We’re working to solve the problem as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience.
Responsibility for the hack was claimed by a group called OurMine who have reportedly also targeted companies such as Netflix, Marvel, WWE, HBO and Playstation in the past.
