The Brazilian departs and a defender arrives
It is looking like a quiet end to the transfer window for Barcelona at the moment although the club have confirmed that Douglas will join Benfica on a season-long loan.
The Brazilian has barely featured for the Blaugrana since joining from Sao Paulo in 2014 and spent last season with Sporting Gijon.
Perhaps unsurprisingly Douglas has been deemed surplus to requirements once again and will now spend the current campaign with Benfica.

"Barcelona and Benfica have come to an agreement for the loan of Douglas Pereira, 27, who will play in the Portuguese club during the 2017-18 season.
"Douglas goes on loan to Benfica three years after his Barcelona arrival. He came from Sao Paulo in the summer of 2014 and made his debut in September of that year against Malaga.
"During the first two seasons, 2014-15 and 2015-16, Douglas played eight games, with four draws and four victories, and and a total of eight titles."

Meanwhile, the club have also announced that David Costas will join Barca B from Celta Vigo. The defender has signed a one-year deal with the Blaugrana.
"I am very happy to get to FC Barcelona. I came from playing two seasons in Segunda División A, with Mallorca and Oviedo, and I think that although we are a very young team, I can contribute a lot to the group,” he said.
