The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana open up the Camp Nou doors and welcome Valencia to play the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals. And coach Luis Enrique has picked his squad for the game.
For the first time all season, Enrique has the whole squad available. Other than the longtime absentee Rafinha Alcântara, the coach had all of his men participating in this week's training sessions, and the squad selection for Wednesday night's encounter was entirely up to the coach, without any involvement from the medical team.
Claudio Bravo is out of the list, as is usually the case in Copa games. There is also no place in the squad for Sandro Ramírez and Douglas Pereira, with important starters in Javier Mascherano and Dani Alves, who have seen plenty of minutes lately, getting a deserved day off against The Bats.
These are the eighteen men named by Lucho for tonight:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 25. Jordi Masip
Defenders: 3. Gerard Piqué, 15. Marc Bartra, 18. Jordi Alba, 21. Adriano Correia, 22. Aleix Vidal, 23. Thomas Vermaelen, 24. Jérémy Mathieu
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 7. Arda Turan, 8. Andrés Iniesta, 20. Sergi Roberto
Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Neymar Jr., 17. Munir El-Haddadi
Projected Starting Lineup (4-3-3):
Ter Stegen; Vidal, Piqué, Mathieu, Adriano; Busquets, Arda, Roberto; Messi, Suárez, Neymar
