Is this Barcelona team the best in history?
The numbers say it could be. Five of potential six titles won in a calendar year, the highest-scoring attacking trio in football history, and a 29-game unbeaten streak, the longest in Spanish football history. It is hard to argue against those numbers. They are facts. And another fact is that coach Luis Enrique has built such a ridiculous powerhouse that they can steamroll past everyone, and history itself.
It is a true privilege to watch a football team with such huge stars who can work together as a true unity for the benefit of something bigger than individual accomplishments. After winning a Treble last season, this Blaugrana team is even better, and looks unstoppable on the road to another season of glory.
But the beautiful thing about this sport is that even the unbeatable teams can be beaten. A perfect example is Celta Vigo, who won at Camp Nou last season, and destroyed the Catalan giants at the beginning of this campaign, winning 4-1 with authority and providing a blueprint of how to stop the unstoppable.
This Sunday these two teams face off again at the Catalan capital in a pivotal La Liga match. Celta can stop Barça, and Barça can destroy Celta. What will happen? Do not miss it to find out.
