As Barcelona returns to Champions League duty, the club captain is taking the opponent as seriously as possible.
Andrés Iniesta spoke to Arsenal's website about the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match between the Gunners and the Blaugranes on Tuesday evening. The skipper will see his former teammate, now Arsenal star Alexis Sánchez, for the first time since the Chilean left the Catalans to join the London side.
And Iniesta is aware of Alexis' qualities after playing alongside him for so long. According to the Spanish midfielder, the winger is an unpredictable player that will make a dangerous Arsenal side even better, and capable to cause the defending champions a hard time.
"What makes Alexis so dangerous is that he is unpredictable. When he dribbles, when he attacks, he is a very strong player.
"He’s got skill and when he has the ball he always creates doubts. In that sense, we have to try to make him feel uncomfortable on the field and try to minimise his strengths."
"Arsenal are known for having a style of play, a way of understanding football through having the ball. I also think that the type of players that their coach or that Arsenal look for are very similar.
"I think their strong spots are their quality, their talent and the way they play. The way they attack, the way they combine. I think they’re a very dangerous opponent in that sense."
