The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana travel to the Canary Islands for a key away match against relegation candidates Las Palmas, and coach Luis Enrique has already picked his squad for the game.
It's a surprising list, but reasonable with the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Arsenal just three days away. Sergio Busquets picked up a yellow card against Sporting Gijón in midweek, which resulted in an automatic one-game suspension for the midfielder. Gerard Piqué is also not on the list, as the center-back gets a day off to rest and prepare for a tough trip to London.
Along with Busi and Piqué, Jordi Masip, Douglas Pereira and Adriano Correia will not travel for the game. Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto, rested at Gijón, return to the side.
These are the eighteen men called up by Enrique for Saturday:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Claudio Bravo
Defenders: 6. Dani Alves, 14. Javier Mascherano, 15. Marc Bartra, 18. Jordi Alba, 22. Aleix Vidal, 23. Thomas Vermaelen, 24. Jérémy Mathieu
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 7. Arda Turan, 8. Andrés Iniesta, 20. Sergi Roberto
Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Neymar Jr., 17. Munir El-Haddadi, 19. Sandro Ramírez
Projected Starting Lineup (4-3-3):
Bravo; Alves, Bartra, Vermaelen, Alba; Mascherano, Roberto, Iniesta; Messi, Suárez, Munir
