FC Barcelona B vs Real Zaragoza Match Review

Barça B dominated the opposition, and ended the match with a well-deserved 4-1 win.

After a bad start to the Segunda, Barcelona B took advantage of their stretch at home to go back to the winning ways in convincing fashion. Especially this Sunday, when the mini-Culés got the better of Zaragoza in a dominant, beautiful 4-1 triumph.

Controlling the match from the start, the little Blaugrana set the tone with quick passing, ball possession and good chances. Zaragoza couldn't do much more than just defending themselves as much as possible. Despite being once a relevant La Liga side, they got belittled by Barça B, and park the bus was their strategy.

When you're trying to go over the bus, sometimes you need a bull. Thankfully, our B-team has got him. He's called Adama Traoré. That destroyer had his usual -- yet amazing -- runs through the defense, with no regard for the opposition's safety. In one of those plays, he ran away from everybody in the right side, entered the box and gave a wide-open chance for Dongou. And the striker had an epic miss, hitting the goalie twice in incredible fashion:

But the number 9 wouldn't get affected by that miss, and score the opener with a header in the 35th minute. Nine minutes later, Zaragoza would equalize the scoreboard, after an ugly breakdown of the Blaugrana defense let Eldin Hadzic face-to-face with Ortolá, and the GK couldn't do anything about it. We went to halftime with an even score.

However, Barça B took care of business right at the beginning of the second half, not giving Zaragoza any chances to gain some momentum. Two minutes in, Dongou would score his second brace in two games, using his awareness in the box to finish a shot from Grimaldo that went up in the air and fell right at the striker's feet.

Fifteen minutes later, while the B-laugrana continued to dominate the contest, they got a comfortable third goal. Another fantastic play by Adama, who found Joan Román in the box. Román would look up and deliver a perfect cross to Gumbau, who got to score in his first minute on the pitch in a well-placed header.

There was still time left for more, and Barça got it. Joan Román toyed with the opponents in the left side to score a pretty goal and finish up another great night at the Mini Estadi.

With the result, Barça B reaches the fourth place in the standings. With seven goals in three matches, they're the most prolific attack of the Segunda. They'll now travel to Álava to take on a tough Alavés side, next Saturday. Let's hope they can continue this good run. Visca el B-Barça!
