Four wins from four, no goals conceded; everything is looking pretty rosy in Catalunya at the moment. However, in amidst the excitement of this new era, there's still a pervasive feeling that Barcelona aren't even close to top gear and that in some instances, we have been a little "lucky" to escape with the win. Somehow, despite losing three matches already this season, there almost appears to be fewer doubts surrounding Real Madrid; at least, when I tuned into the English media earlier this week, even before their landslide victories over FC Basel and now Deportivo La Coruna, many pundits were focusing their attentions on Barça, ludicrously claiming that it's the Blaugrana who will face the most difficulties against the highest calibre opposition, particularly due to their perceived positional indiscipline.
Incredible, I know -- which is why I would relish a landslide victory for Barcelona tonight. We're good. We know we're good, and by the same token, we know we are better than everyone else. After four games in La Liga, Barcelona have the chance to extend their lead over the reigning champions, Atletico Madrid, to four points. And they are two points clear of the almighty Real Madrid themselves.
