Things don't look good for Dani.
Dani Alves' situation in the Brazil national team is not looking good.
According to multiple reports from Brazil, Spain and United States, NT coach Dunga had a personal issue with right-back Maicon, and he kicked the right-back off the squad. Maicon immediately went home, and Dunga had to call someone else to be the second RB in the squad. It was almost certain that Alves would be the chosen one, but the boss surprised and called up Fabinho, a Brazil U-21 player, as the Brazilian Football Federation announced on Sunday.
Fabinho plays for Monaco of France, alongside Barcelona player Rafinha at the U-21 squad, and he got extremely surprised when the phonecall came with the news:
"I'm incredibly happy. It's a dream come true. I was already happy here at the U-21, but this is now a confirmation of my hard work. I hope I can do well and earn Dunga's trust for the future."

Back to Alves. After a terrible showing at the World Cup, following a bad season at Barça, Dani's future was in jeopardy. He stays at Barça for one more campaign, but it looks like his chances on the national team with Dunga will not come anytime soon.
Brazil takes on Ecuador, next Tuesday, in New Jersey.
