The defender is wanted for their Champions League push
Ligue 1 side Rennes have emerged as a possible destination for Jean-Clair Todibo and are said to be pushing hard to sign the defender.
Mundo Deportivo report that the French team are the current frontrunners and are keen to strengthen their team this summer after qualifying for the Champions League.
Rennes finished third in Ligue 1 behind PSG and Marseille. The season was called off early because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, Todibo already knows he’s not really wanted by Barca next season and has slipped behind Ronald Araujo in the pecking order.
The 20-year-old has been linked with several clubs but it seems interest in the defender may be waning with clubs struggling financially because of Covid-19 .
Todibo also had a few injury problem after lockdown and did not really impress in a struggling Schalke team after the restart.
