The coach is expecting a tough match with Sabadell
Barcelona B coach Francisco Javier García Pimienta has been talking about his team’s chances ahead of Sunday’s crucial promotion playoff clash against Sabadell.
The B team are just 90 minutes away from being promoted to the Segunda Division A after wins over Vallodolid Promesas and Badajoz.
García Pimienta says his team “deserve” to go up and has backed his team to give it their all in Sunday’s match in Marbella.
“Tomorrow’s game is going to be very difficult. The only advantage is that they played in our league, so we know each other very well.
“I know we will battle all the way and hopefully end up winning promotion, although our ultimate priority is always to train up players ready for the first team.
“We always have a recognisable style of play, no matter which players are picked. And they know what they have to and have a winning mentality. They’ll do everything they can before if we win this game we’ll be a second division team.
“I started this project with the U19A team, and we won the Youth League and almost made the play-off last year. They deserve this because of all the hard work they have put into everything.
“The players have been used to demanding games like this ever since they were very little. They know about the responsible attitude that’s required of them in such games”.
