The captain has praised both players
Lionel Messi been talking about Neymar and Lautaro Martinez and made it pretty clear he would be happy to see both forwards playing for Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
The Barcelona captain admitted he tried to convince Neymar to stay before he left for PSG in August 2017 and that he understands his departure upset a lot of people.
Yet Messi also said that the Brazilian is keen to come back and he would be happy to see him back at the club.
“I say it many times, at the sports level Ney is one of the best in the world and I would love him to return.
“He is really looking forward to coming back, he always seemed sorry. He did a lot to return and that would be the first step to try to come back.”

Neymar has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, but so too has Inter Milan forward Martinez.
Messi knows his compatriot well and was full of praise for the 22-year-old.
“He is spectacular, he has impressive qualities, he’s showing that he’s a great player. He is very strong, he can score a lot of goals, he endures, he turns. He’s very complete.”
Lautaro and Suárez share the same qualities. I wish he could come, like Neymar, to fight for all the trophies.”
Barcelona are being tipped to invest in their attack once again in the summer, but they are likely to have to choose between Neymar and Martinez.
