Recent history shows a new kit can mean three points
Osasuna will wear a brand new kit for Wednesday’s trip to Camp Nou to face Barcelona and it won’t be hard to miss – the new design is a bright orange shirt with a white trim.
La Liga’s bottom side, who have managed just three wins all season, have been told by television broadcasters they can’t wear their current home and away strips as they clash with Barca’s.
Osasuna are unable to wear either their red and blue home kit or their green and blue away shirt and have been forced to come up with an entirely new design.
In the reverse fixture earlier this season, which Barca won 3-0, Luis Enrique’s side wore their green away kit while Osasuna wore their home shirts.
However, rather than simply do that again, Osasuna have been told to come up with a new kit instead – athough recent history suggests it might not be a bad idea.
The club have complied and have been happy to show off the new design which also features the hashtag '#OsasunaNuncaSeRinde', which translates to 'Osasuna never surrenders'.

This is not the first time a team has been forced to come up with a new kit midway through the season, just ask the Premier League, and new kits seem to have inspired teams to victory.
Southampton were asked come up with a new kit for their visit to Bournemouth last year due to a kit clash and produced a white shirt with red shorts. They went on to win the game 3-1.
Stoke City also faced a similar problem against the Cherries and also came up with a white number. The result? Another 3-1 win.
Barca should be full of confidence after Sunday’s huge result at the Bernabeu but they have struggled after some big results recently.
Defeat to Malaga came after the big win over Sevilla, while the incredible comeback against PSG was promptly followed by defeat to Deportivo.
Luis Enrique’s side are rightly huge favourites to win on Wednesday as top plays bottom and new kit or not, they simply can’t afford slip up again now.
