Barcelona appears to have gotten the job done against Espanyol today and have kept up with Real Madrid in the La Liga title race. After Luis Suarez gave the Blaugrana a lead early in the second half, Ivan Rakitic has doubled their lead with just under 15 minutes remaining. The goal was made by Lionel Messi’s great run up the gut of the field and through the Espanyol defense. After he made it to the top of the box he laid off a pass for Rakitic to simply pass into the net with pure precision. It’s 2-0!
