Thank you for the effort, lads.
I must admit it was very difficult to motivate myself to write this article. This is not meant as an indictment in any way towards Barcelona and the match they played on Wednesday, as they played valiantly, but more as a failure on my part. This was the exit from the Champions League which in all honesty I was expecting after getting drummed at the Parc de Princes. I thought that was the end for us, and only hoped for a return fixture approached with audacity, from which the players could depart from the field defeated on aggregate, but victorious nonetheless. I think we can all agree we got much more than we expected when our beloved players managed to book a place in the next round. Regrettably, that next round started in much the same fashion and this time the magic ran out.
Alas! I am thankful today more than ever I am fortunate enough to watch this team and their vivacious football. Consider that without the lows, the highs wouldn’t feel quite as epic. If we grew accustomed to victory, soon enough we would not value success, and would take for granted the vast talent many are impossible to emulate. This in no way to insinuate the fans were in any way ungrateful, as it was quite the opposite. I, as well as many of you, enjoyed the way our fortress, our Camp Nou, embraced our players in defeat and thanked them for the effort. Let us now carry on and enjoy tomorrow’s Clásico, and hope we get to enjoy a new high.

1st Goleador: Messi
Perhaps we had nothing to show for it, but he put in a hell of an effort. All the players missed opportunities we’ve never seen them miss before, but that has more to do with Juve’s excellent defending than it does with them having an off day. The mental aspect of such staunch defense is that even when you manage to finally break through, you still have it in the back of your head that they are never far away, and you rush it.
2nd Goleador: Busquets
Stay with me on this one. On a season in which our midfield has been regrettable, Busquets has had his fair share of sub-par performances. It was good to see him back to his old tricks of suffocating breakaways. He kept them boxed in for much of the match.
3rd Goleador: Sergi Roberto
He read the epic of Gilgamesh and found it derivative and trite.

By the way, what do you guys think of a 4-3-1-2 formation with Luisito and Paco at the front, and Messi providing for them? I am terrible at tactics. It is my weakest analytical side, but I like the sound of that.
