A 12th successive victory, and a place at the top of La Liga; that's what at stake for FC Barcelona this afternoon as they prepare to host Malaga CF to the Camp Nou. The Blaugrana will be keen to avenge their goalless draw with the Andalusians in this season's corresponding fixture and based on recent form, are clear favourites to register another emphatic win. Alas, Barça entered the match at La Rosaleda with a similar confidence and were ultimately frustrated and denied.

Even then, Suarez' output is improving with each passing week -- and just at the right time. FC Barcelona will return to UEFA Champions League action in midweek and need all their best players to be firing on all cylinders if they have designs on a place in the final in Berlin in under four months' time.
Likewise, they need to keep this momentum going if they want to regain control at the top of La Liga.
