The showpiece was originally scheduled for May
UEFA announced on Monday that it has postponed its major European finals, including the Champions League final, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The final of Europe’s top competition was scheduled for May 27 in Gdansk, with the governing body confirming they are working on finding a new date.
“No decision has yet been made on rearranged dates. The working group, established last week as a result of the conference call among the stakeholders of European football, which was chaired by UEFA President, Aleksander Čeferin, will analyse the options available. The group has already begun its examination of the calendar. Announcements will be made in due course.”

The announcement is no surprise at all as football throughout the world has been suspended due to the pandemic.
UEFA’s announcement follows one from La Liga earlier in the day who confirmed they had suspended professional football in Spain indefinitely.
The Champions League is currently paused at the last 16 stage. Half of the second leg ties have been completed but the other four still need to be played.
Reports have suggested UEFA could play the rest of the competition as one-off games in June a bid to get the competition completed.
