The striker’s Camp Nou stay may be a brief one
Barcelona are reportedly willing to sell Martin Braithwaite in the summer transfer window but only if they receive an offer of at least €18 million for the striker.
The Denmark international only joined the club in February when Barca were granted permission to make an emergency signing after Ousmane Dembele was ruled out for six months.
Sport report the club have already thought about moving him on but will not sell for less than the €18 million they paid Leganes less than two months ago.
The report reckons there was interest in Braithwaite in the January transfer window, from Everton and West Ham, but Leganes refused to sell because they had already lost Youssef En-Nesyri.
However, it’s not certain that Braithwaite will leave the Camp Nou in the next transfer window. The club are said to be open to keeping hold of him because they have been impressed with his versatility and how well he’s fitted in since making the move.
The current coronavirus pandemic is also likely to have a big impact on the club’s transfer plans and which players they will try to bring in and ship out when the window reopens.
