Reports suggest it could be a hectic end to the season

La Liga clubs could reportedly end up playing once every two days when the competition resumes in a bid to finish the 2019-20 season.

Javier Tebas has reportedly met with clubs to discuss how to proceed and has drawn up a plan that would see games every couple of days.

The Liga president has also spoken to Mundo Deportivo and outlined a plan to resume the season in mid-April with a view to completing the campaign by the end of June.

Tebas’ talked about how “four games will be played every ten days” and La Liga matches could even be played on a Monday.

MD reckon Champions League matches may also switch to the weekend in a bid to get Europe’s top competition finished.

There certainly seems a strong commitment to finish the 2019-20 season and play out the remaining fixtures, although a return to action in mid-April may be a little optimistic.

La Liga teams still have 11 fixtures left to play, while in the Champions League there are four last-16 second leg ties to be played before the quarter-final line-up is completed.
