The right-back could be off in the summer
Barcelona will reportedly look to sell Nelson Semedo in the summer if he does not renew his contract at the club which runs until 2022.
According to Sport, the club are “open to offers” for the Portugal international as they try to raise some cash to “invest elsewhere” in the squad.
Barcelona have already spoken to his agent, Jorge Mendes, to tell him they will look to offload him if he does not agree a contract extension.
There was speculation about Semedo’s future last summer, and the report claims there was interest from Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City.
Inter Milan are also said to be interested this time around, and Mendes sees Semedo as an “attractive option” for many clubs.
If Barcelona were to sell Semedo it would leave them short of right-back options ahead of next season.
There have been rumors of interest in Lukas Klostermann and Ricardo Pereira, while there’s also been talk Barca could try to bring Emerson in from Real Betis early.
