The Barcelona defender has denied reports
Barcelona defender Junior Firpo has taken to Twitter to explain how he picked up a hand injury after speculation he hurt himself while out go-karting.
Reports on Wednesday in Spain claimed that the left-back picked up the injury during a go-karting race, the type of activity that’s forbidden within the Barca squad.
Yet Junior says that’s all complete nonsense and that it actually happening during training.
“I wanted to explain that the slight injury that I had in my left hand was made in the training of Thursday before the match against Eibar in the Sports City of FC Barcelona. Any other version does not fit reality.
There are no erosions or abrasions, just a bad fall in a training like other times. I think there are many topics to talk about in the world of sports to invent such a thing.”

Junior has enjoyed a little run in the side with Jordi Alba out injured but that looks to be over now the 30-year-old has returned to full fitness.
