The coach is out of contract in the summer
The future of Barcelona B coach Francisco Javier García Pimienta is reportedly a little uncertain with the 45-year-old yet to agree a new deal with the club.
García Pimienta’s current deal expires in June and it’s not completely clear yet if he will stay on at the Camp Nou.
Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona want to renew his deal and told him of their intentions last month but nothing has happened since then.
However, a meeting is planned for later in the week to discuss a number of issues, and presumably the small matter of his expiring contract will also come up.
García Pimienta’s been doing a pretty good job with Barca B. The team’s 3-2 victory over Llagostera saw them move to just a point behind leaders Castellon.
The coach has previously spoken of his desire to manage the first team at some point in the future and was rumored as a possible replacement for Ernesto Valverde at one point.
