Ter Stegen declared fit; Masip injured | FC Barcelona

Monday was the first day of training since the internationals departed, and there was both good and bad news for Luis Enrique. German keeper Marc-André ter Stegen was able to train normally for the first time since picking up a back injury on August 15 and the Medical Services have declared that he is fully recovered. But now it’s fellow stopper Jordi Masip who is out for about four weeks after fracturing his right little finger.

Getafe blocked from Leon registration | Football Espana

The LFP has prevented Getafe registering Pedro Leon as to do so would have breached the club’s salary cap. Getafe are only allowed a wage bill of €17m and both Marca and AS report that Leon’s pay packet would take the club past the total amount. Legal action has been mooted to allow Leon to play and the players’ union, the AFE, is looking into the case. A legal challenge could be made.
