The Brazilian midfielder is free agent
Former Barcelona midfielder Paulinho is apparently interested in a return to Barcelona. The 32-year-old has spent the last three seasons playing for Guangzhou in China.
Paulinho spent a year at Barca between 2017-18 and was a nice part of the team winning a La Liga title and the Copa del Rey. He then was loaned out to China before making the deal permanent.
He was asked about his desire to return to the Camp Nou this week.
“Barça is a team that I know well. I spent an unforgettable year there, both at the club and in the city, and we won the League and the Copa del Rey. If I had another chance, and it was something good for both me and my family, I would be delighted.
“For me, the theme of money or the duration of the contract would be a problem, they never have been, and even less if Barca are the team who calls.
“I have already shown when I left Guangzhou to go there for much less of what is perceived in China.
“Money has never been at the front in my career, so it would not be a problem in returning there. Also, the club would not have to pay a transfer fee for me.”
