The forward was injured at Euro 2020
Ousmane Dembélé is expected to be out for a long time, once again recovering from an injury. The winger experienced the problem on duty with the French national team, but it will make him miss quite a bit of games at club level as well.
His right thigh caused him pain in the match against Hungary, and given his injury record, the worst was feared. Unfortunately it is a serious injury and he has to go under the knife soon after to repair it.

It’s expected he will travel to Finland to undergo a procedure similar to one he has experienced twice in the past, once in 2017 and once in 2020. Initial estimates said he’d be out for two months, but now they are saying it could be closer to four months.
FC Barcelona is in an awkward situation as rumors swirled that Dembélé was set to leave for Juventus for free next year, when his contract expires. The Catalans were considering whether to renew his contract or sell him. It will be difficult to find a buyer considering his injury, and some are questioning whether it is wise to give him a new deal.
