The Argentina boss says he’ll have to earn his place
Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has been talking about Lautaro Martinez’s potential move to Barcelona and think he will have to make sacrifices to be a starter at Barcelona.
There’s been plenty of talk about a summer move from Inter Milan with Martinez expected to be Luis Suarez’s long-term replacement at Barca.
Scaloni thinks if he does make the move then Quique Setien will want him in his starting XI.
“If Lautaro gets to go to Barcelona, I think the coach is going to look for a way to start him, he is going to have to sacrifice and earn his place,” he said.
“Taking Lautaro out of Inter is not going to be easy… I would like Lautaro Martinez to play, to have continuity.
“Lautaro has one thing that he runs for him and for his team-mate. He will be the reference striker for the future.”

The latest rumors have claimed left-back Junior Firpo could be used in the ‘Lautaro operation.’ The defender is said to be liked by Antonio Conte who thinks he could fit into his system well.
