Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has heaped praise on Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. The French superstar says that he thinks Messi should grab the Ballon d’Or this year after a wonderful season at the club.
“The favourite [for the Ballon d’Or] is Messi,”
“The elimination in Champions does not change anything, he is the number one in everything,”
“He has shown this year that he is the best player and although the year goes until December, I’m not worried about him, he’s going to play until December.”

The PSG forward has had a great season himself, but the praise for Messi was well received. Messi has scored 50 goals and 22 assists in just 49 appearances in all competitions and is certainly the favorite for the award.
