The Spanish champions must win at the Camp Nou
Ernesto Valverde says Barcelona’s 0-0 draw with Lyon in the first leg of their last 16 tie is a “dangerous result.”
Barcelona failed to grab an away goal in Lyon despite having several chances to score, and Valverde knows his team must win at the Camp Nou to progress to the quarter-finals.
“We are strong at home, but 0-0 is a dangerous result for the second leg,” he said.
“You have to win at home and the fans will have to push us, because everything’s to be decided.
“In terms of our play and our implication from the beginning of the game, the impression is really good, even though we hoped for more because we did enough, but we haven’t won.
“They have not lost a game in the Champions League. Plus, it’s not easy to play away from home in this competition. That’s two wins and two draws (away in Europe) this season.”
