FC Barcelona will be hoping to return to winning ways this afternoon when they return to the Camp Nou to take on newly promoted UD Las Palmas in Saturday's early afternoon kickoff. Of course, following a disappointing 1-4 defeat against Celta Vigo at Balaidos on Wednesday, the Blaugrana are under pressure to deliver a win and perhaps more importantly, a strong performance to appease the crowds.
The midweek distraction of the UEFA Champions League could complicate matters; Barça host Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday and will be under similar pressure to secure a result then after an opening day draw against AS Roma. That being said, it's no change from the norm for Luis Enrique and his side; the pressure is always there at a club like FC Barcelona and we certainly have the players to handle the situation.
Neymar was one of the few positives from the match against Celta and one can assume that the Brazilian will be keen to continue in a similar vein today. Lionel Messi is probably due a few goals any week now, while Luis Suarez can't be much worse than he was on Wednesday. Sure, we're still missing Jordi Alba and our defense is leaking goals like nobody's business, but this should be a gimme win for Barça.
