FC Barcelona News: 30 September 2015; Barcelona Earn Comeback Win, Lose Andres Iniesta to Hamstring Injury

Barça stormed back in the second half against Bayer Leverkusen to record their first win of this season's Champions League thanks to goals from Sergi Roberto and Luis Suárez in the last 10 minutes of the contest. The Germans had taken the lead after 22 minutes through defender Papadopoulos and had proved a match for Luis Enrique's side in the opening half.

This was Barcelona's first game since Lionel Messi was ruled out for about two months with a knee injury, and for a long time it seemed set to show just how much the Blaugrana talisman is going to be missed. Barça tried to catch them down the wings, with Carles Pérez soon becoming the most incisive player with a number of penetrating runs to set up a series of chances. Carbonell enjoyed several of those, Álex Blanco had one too, and there was another for Pérez himself. In the meantime, Bayer only got through on goal once, but Dzalto’s strike was no major problem for Andreu. And so the first half came to a close, with the Catalans unfortunate not to have taken the lead.
