The Daily Telegraph has reported Real Madrid enquired at Chelsea about the availability of Thibaut Courtois before moving for David De Gea. It’s said that Madrid were willing to pay some £37m for the Atletico Madrid title winner but were told they would have to increase their bid to £73m to have it accepted.
