Could the GOAT still finish his career at the Camp Nou?
Argentine legend Juan Roman Riquelme commented on the Lionel Messi situation this week. The former playmaker suggested in an interview with ESPN that Messi would go on to win the Champions League with PSG. Something that would no doubt be a bit of a tough watch for Barca supporters.
However, after that happens, Riquelme believes Messi will return to Barcelona to retire. A move many believe is possible but is difficult to imagine given the present circumstances.
“I hope that Messi goes on to enjoy Paris.
“I don’t know if it’s strange, but we are all excited to see him enjoy playing with [Kylian] Mbappe and Neymar.
“If they don’t win the Champions League now, they won’t win it.
“I think Messi will win the Champions League with PSG and retire at Barcelona.”

Even the biggest Messi critics could probably get behind Messi returning to Barcelona eventually for a proper farewell.
