Games against Valencia and Dynamo Kyiv will also see 60% attendance
FC Barcelona’s pivotal match against Real Madrid will be held at Camp Nou that will be 60% full, in accordance with the latest health directives from the Catalan government.
Local authorities have confirmed that stadiums with around 100,000 capacity will be allowed to hold about 60% of fans, around 60,000 in the case of Camp Nou.
Up to this point, the stadium was only open to be 40% filled. These restrictions of course, come after months of playing without any crowd due to COVID-19 restrictions. Thanks to vaccination efforts, fans are returning to stadiums.
These new guidelines will be first applied for the match against Valencia on October 17th. It’s also expected that the match against FC Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League on October 20th will be 60% full.
The biggest event on the horizon, however, is el Clásico. which is scheduled for the 24th of next month.
If all continues well, we will see a mostly full crowd for that huge game.
And then if things continue to go well, we could go back to some normalcy with a full lift on restrictions of crowd capacity at sporting events.
