Talks have stalled over wage demands, apparently

Barcelona’s discussions with goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen have reportedly stalled due to the Germany international’s wage demands.

Goal report that Ter Stegen wants an annual salary of €15 million a year, which would put him among the club’s highest earners, but the Catalan giants simply can’t afford it.

Ter Stegen’s contract runs until 2022, but he’s been one of Barca’s most impressive performers last season and it’s no surprise the club are seeking to secure his future.

The report reckons Barca have put contract talks on hold until the end of the season but are confident they will be able to come to some kind of agreement.

The 27-year-old has spoken about his future recently. He insisted he is happy at the Camp Nou and intends to stay but is not in any rush to sign an extension.
