While everyone continues to deny that Neymar will move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, it looks as though the Brazilian is indeed set to sign for them. And according to the journalist that reported the news that Neymar has accepted PSG’s offer, he’s already let his future teammates know about it.
Marcelo Bechler says Neymar has been in touch with a few PSG players to inform them about his arrival in France in the next few weeks. There are four Brazilians in the PSG squad, and three of those are Neymar’s teammates in the national team (Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva). Dani Alves is Neymar’s closest friend in football and his arrival was crucial to attract Neymar to PSG.
Neymar Sr., the player’s father, will meet with PSG officials in the next few days to negotiate Neymar’s contract with the club, and once PSG pay the €222 million release clause to buy him out of Barcelona, it’ll be a matter of days until the announcement. Neymar will travel with the Barça squad to the United States on Wednesday night and will play all three preseason matches with the team.
As soon as the tour is over, though, Neymar will say goodbye to his Barça teammates, fly to Paris and complete the most expensive transfer in history. Reportedly.
