Barcelona will discover their fate on Friday, probably
Once again there’s been a fair bit of chaos in La Liga, and it’s impacted on the scheduled release of next season’s fixtures, which was due to take place on Thursday.
The president of the Spanish Football Federation chief Angel Maria Villar has been arrested as part of a corruption investigation, which has thrown a small spanner in the works.
However, Barcelona and the rest of the teams will not have to wait too much longer to learnt their fate, with the RFEF subsequently confirming the fixtures will now be released on Friday at 12.30pm local time.

Of course we will get the chance to see Barcelona in action before then, as Ernesto Valverde’s men get in shape ahead of the big kick-off.
The Blaugrana face Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United in the International Champions Cup in the United States. They then return to Barcelona to play Chapecoense in the annual Joan Gamper Trophy at Camp Nou.
There’s then the small matter of the Supercopa de Espana against Real Madrid which is currently scheduled for Sunday 13 August with the return leg four days later.
Barcelona should, therefore, finally kick off their Liga campaign on the weekend of the 20 August, but all will be revealed in just a couple of days now.
