Prosecutors recommend two years in jail...
The Spanish National High Court cleared Neymar of all charges of fraud pertaining to his transfer from Santos to Barcelona back in 2013. However, charges of corruption remain due for trial with the defendants including the player, his parents, Josep Bartomeu (current FC Barcelona president), Sandro Rosell (former president of FC Barcelona), FC Barcelona, and NN Consultoria (Neymar's company).
Rosell, Bartomeu, Odilio Rodrigues (former Santos president), FC Barcelona, and Santos continue to face charges of fraud.
Altamiro Bezerra, an advisor to NN Consultoria remains hopeful that any charges of corruption shall be absolved.
The case began because of a complaint from DIS, which owned a 40% stake in Neymar, back when he represented Santos. DIS received €6.8 million of the supposed €17 million received by Santos. The real transfer fee however, has since been estimated to be around €100 million with a fourth going to Santos, increasing DIS's share by roughly €3.5 million.
The courts have however, ruled in favour of the player for his charges of fraud, while also favouring a €10 million fine and two years of jail sentence for the Brazilian with respect to the charges of corruption.
Since first time offenders of non-violent crimes with a jail-term of two years or under, need not actually serve any jail time, it seems likely that the player can put his controversial transfer behind once and for all and focus on what's important—football.
